My Mulberry Collection - June 2017 Snapshot

So I was having a bit of a tidy and also thinking about how many bags I have - and how many I actually need. I'm trying to decide which ones to move on and am finding it way harder than it should be. Their bags for goodness sake! This is not Sophie's Choice!

Anyway, I will hopefully be able to decide soon and the collection won't look like it does right now for much longer
- so I thought I'd give a quick peek!

Which one is your favourite? And what will I let go???

Mulberry Being a Bit Chanel

Is it a purse, it is a bag?

Mulberry's Bayswater Clutch Wallet clearly took (ahem) inspiration from Chanel's famous Wallet On a Chain - or WOC as it is often called. A large purse with enough space for a phone a couple of essentials but also a zip pocket (for chain) and some credit card slips. Carry it underneath your arm, clutch-style or attach the chain and wear it on your shoulder or even cross-body - super versatile. And you know what I'm like when it gets to finding pieces that are practical and useable!

Granny Chique Purse

I've always had a bit more than just a soft spot for the Mulberry Polly range. There's something about that pushlock that feels a bit granny chique yet functional. The leather of the bags and purses is shiny grain, which is lovely and full of character, yet very robust. I had the small bag in conker for a while and only sold her on as I had simply not used her for quite a while. I was also a tad worried about hitting little M in the head with the rather heavy lock. (But that's really more of a reflection on my clumsiness than the bag.)

This purse is the smaller/French version. I love the compact style, you fit so much into a small space! The only downside for me is that you can't leave the coin compartment open, whilst rummaging through the notes/receipt section. (Again: hello clumsiness and lots of spilled change...)

Anyway, a truly charming and gorgeous piece!

Mulberry in French

Why is there a difference between a Continental and a French purse? Isn't France on the continent? And why might the French want to distance themselves from the rest of the continent?

Anyway, after having been in my Prada Continental Purse for years, I really wanted to go to something more compact, especially since I am now usually carrying around my Filofax as well.

I thought I'd just give you a quick overview of how my Mulberry French Purse in Oak has fared and what I managed to squeeze in!

My First Louis Vuitton

In my seemingly neverending quest to find the perfect new purse I fell for one that was to be my first item from Louis Vuitton: The LV Zippy Wallet in Vernis Amarante. I actually probably fell in love with the colour first: it's a deep, multitonal burgundy, almost like a metallic paint on a car.

As I am trying to organise my life a bit more, I have now intriduced a Filofax (yes, paper, pen, all that) and thus have more stuff in my bag. The Zippy is therefore now a bit big for me, partially because I don't have the space in my bag anymore, partially because I have moved out many of the cards my Prada continental purse used to have to hold for me.

Regardless, I still love this one and thought I'd give you a quick overview:

By the way: I have now had a look and I know that 'amarante" is a plant/flower and has absolutely nothing to do with cherry. *holds up foreigner card*

No Angel Either - Prada Continental Purse

Not a Mulberry?!

Yep, one of my longest serving leather items is my Prada Continental Purse. This is a really quick run through of what I could fit in it before I moved out and into my newly acquired Mulberry French Purse. Sorry, I am becoming rather predictable...
