Unseasonably Mild

I know: I usually complain about it being too cold but it really has been so mild the last week that I almost felt like digging out my Converse again. Having said that, it's also been really wet, so it's just as well that I've been wearing big boots. Wading through puddles isn't much fun in canvas shoes...

I know I have had that other long waistcoat for ages but I have now finally jumped on the "long-straight-unbottoned-waistcoat" bandwagon, which passed us about 2 seasons ago. The Boots are Back

Coming back from my week in Germany, it really felt like winter has arrived. (Can I just add here that when I told my mum we had landed safely, she told me that she was lying on a sunlounger in her bathing suit as it was still hitting mid 20s in the sun. You try and not be depressed after that!) Anyway, with wet and cold weather all around me in the morning as I wait for the train, I moved into one of my pairs pf knee-high boots. You'll soon be sick of the sight of them...

Blue Poppies

So it almost feels like spring. And I wore an almost-spring outfit (as opposed to almost wearing a spring outfit). The dress from H&M is in a fine jersey so I layered with a black longsleeve top, chunky Boden cardigan and, you've guessed it, boots. I love the slouchy pockets on the dress and the poppy/cornflower print.
