Mulberry Bicester Stock Check November

A visit to the in-law's house in Oxford usually means a quick hop over to Bicester. And I literally mean hop. The good people of the Mulberry Outlet at Bicester village were watching me with a mix of bewilderment, smiles and raised eyebrows as I whizzed through the store taking pics and notes.

Bargain: Small Metallic Mirror Pouch £50

The fact that my car broke down as we were leaving is really just another story but from me to you: Make sure you have breakdown cover. Green Flag were fab: Turned up within 72 minutes of calling, fully fixed and on my way home within another hour. Oh, and had they not been able to fix it, I could have had a courtesy car with mine delivered to me within a few days. Thanks to Adam from Greenflag!

Ultimate Mum Bag

Confession time: I've got a few pretty designer bags. (Yes, mainly Mulberry.) And I promise, I do use most of them regularly. But, when it comes to days out with the little one or running errands at the weekend, I tend to go for something non-designer, non-precious, non-leather.

I've had a Longchamp LePliage with long handles for a few years. I really like how hardwearing it is but I miss a long strap that allows me to carry it cross body. I also don't like that it neither has an outside pocket, nor any large enough inside pockets that mean I am not putting my Mulberry purse at risk from the dreaded sticky kiddie drink/snacks/wet wipes. (No, I do not move in and out of a purse, according to which bag I'm carrying).

So when I saw this Longchamp Hobo at their Bicester Village's outlet, I pounced. I think it was advertised at £100 but they had a discount on that day, so I only paid around £70. They had about 8 different colours in stock and my favourite was this teal.

So: outside pocket for kiddie drink? Tick.
Inside pocket large enough to hold (and protect) my purse? Tick.
Long, adjustable strap to wear bag cross body? Bingo!

Mulberry Bicester August Stock Check

Not Cheshire Oaks but Bicester today for a quick stockcheck on my way back up north from a couple of days in Oxford.
(Can I just say at this point how fab Country File Live was on Saturday! Well worth a visit if you like country/agricultural shows etc. Little M had so much fun seeing all the big tractors and little animals!)

Tempted: Tessie Tote (really?! took me totally by surprise but I thought how practical it would be!) - Oh, and by the Mini Lily in Mirror Metallic Green. Cute and such a bargain at £187!
Surprised: Regular Del Rey in Aligator ('bargain' at just £7500)
Bargain: Regular Lily in Indigo Blue Nappa for £350
